Supah Sentai Game is a 2D puzzle-platformer featuring vibrant retro pixel art inspired by 16-bit classics like The Lost Vikings. Developed for Juntos: Game Jam for Venezuela Earthquake Relief under the theme "Together!", the game highlights the power of teamwork by putting players in control of a Sentai squad with unique, complementary abilities. Players must swap between heroes and combine their individual strengths to solve clever environmental puzzles, navigate challenging platforming obstacles, and prove that no challenge is insurmountable when heroes stand together!

The Story

When a sudden crisis threatens the nation, a specialized team of Supah Sentai heroes is called into action. Each hero possesses unique abilities, but none of them can overcome the treacherous terrain and conclude their rescue mission.

To save the day, the squad must combine their individual powers, navigate hazardous areas, and prove that solidarity is the ultimate superpower when rebuilding what was lost.

Current Jam Build

This prototype was created specifically for the jam and serves as the core mechanical demo for a larger project. Development can continue post-jam.

Due to the strict time constraints of the event, this build functions as a vertical slice focusing on core character-swapping and puzzle-platforming mechanics. Players can experience a foundational level designed to demonstrate how the team's unique abilities interact.

Theme: Together!

The theme "Together!" is built directly into the core gameplay loop. Inspired by The Lost Vikings, no single character can complete a level alone. Players must physically coordinate the squad, using one hero to clear paths, activate switches, or protect others so the entire team reaches the goal together.
